The woman claimed to be raped by his colleagues when he worked in a hotel in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates in 2008. However the 29-year-old women were thrown into jail after reports that he underwent a rape.
He said consular officials did not inform him that Australia can he be threatened jailed because considered adultery when she reports committing rape that affect them.
When contacting the Consulate of Embassy of Australia, he confessed were not given information about the risk of a complaint of rape. He thought, when he knows the risk that he will not report the case and will try to leave the UAE immediately.
He was languishing in jail for eight months in the case of adultery and drinking alcohol without permission before got remission in 2009. United Arab Emirates banned his philandering.
Women are now suing the Government of Australia in the Brisbane courts.
"The advice of the Embassy that incomplete causing the woman undergo imprisonment that spooky for eight months," said his lawyer, Michelle James.
Former employees-these are also demanding the hotel deemed failing to protect its staff.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Australia said it will oppose the lawsuit but not willing to give further details.
